The latest revision of 2.4.8 was posted for release on May 9th 2010. The new version has two options (2.4.8b & 2.4.8c) both versions are production ready.

The key and only difference is version 2.4.8c has a new limit post feature that you can set in the config file.

The new limit post feature will limit the amount of posts shown on your homepage. This option can be left blank and it will default to show all posts.

Also new to 2.4.8b/c is the disapproved posters list. You can now block full domains, this will save time if you are getting spam from a user at a specific domain. The application is now also fully switched to jQuery giving you more powerful editing tools in the admin area.

Winn Guestbook 2.4.7

The latest version of the popular guest book, added some major bug fixes and new features. One of the new items is you can now view posts on the guest book in there own page by calling “http://yourDomain/post.php?p=[id]“, this is pre linked for you now next to the persons name.

The web install is now working correctly with no errors. To download the latest version hop on over to the Google project page and click download.

Guestbook v2.4.3

Just released is version 2.4.3 with Akismet SPAM protection and a new API class. Checkout the new version and let me know what you think! Any support is handled through the issue tracker on out Google project page.

This will be the latest add to the guestbook in version 2.4.3. This option will allow the user to combined the guestbooks SPAM protection with Akismet protection!

Guestbook v2.4.1

Just released is version 2.4.1 of the php Winn Guestbook. This version brings a feature called approved posters, allowing the admin to add users who can skip the approval process.

Download version 2.4.1 at the Google project page. There you also receive support for any issues and the latest truck via svn.

PostgreSQL Support

I am working now to add PostgreSQL support in my PHP Guestbook. Currently i am planning a release for this support in version 2.4.5. Along with PostgreSQL support, this version will be packed with some new features and an introduction to some new framework aspects that help the guestbook preform.

Version 2.4.2 will include a well documented developers manual for developers using this guestbook for clients. I also hope that this will cut back on support issues and bugs.

Version 2.4.0 is currently on the svn and in testing, you may grab the nightly dump at our Winn Guestbook Google Code Page.
